Buffalo Gals, recorded with the World’s Famous Supreme Team and Zulu singers, backing them up with the words ‘She’s looking like a hobo’. The performance by the Supreme Team may require some explaning but suffice to say, they are DJ’s from New York City, who have developed a technique using record players like instruments, replacing […][...]

Om ep:n Into Battle var Art of Noise första steg ut i verkligheten som just Art of Noise, var (Who’s Afraid Of?) The Art of Noise gruppens verkliga elddop. Into Battle bestod i grund och botten av Beat Box och Moments in Love, två av de låtar som kom att definiera icke-gruppen Art of Noise. […][...]

I loved the name Art of Noise so much that I forced my way into the group. If over the years people asked me what I did in the group I replied that I named them, and it was such a great name, that was enough to justify my role. I was the Ringo Starr […][...]

Tvärtom skapade Anne Dudley, Gary Lagan och J.J. Jeczalik gruppens bästa album med In Visible Silence. I och med In No Sense? Nonsense! var det dags för ytterligare en […][...]

På Below the Waste var det, i likhet med varje albumsläpp från Art of Noise sedan debuten (Who’s Afraid Of?) The Art of Noise en personalmässigt ny upplaga av gruppen som dolde sig bakom gruppnamnet. Kvar sedan föregångaren In No Sense?

Vi låter Paul Morley förklara: 1, 2, 3 and 5 were originally something else. 6 was originally Something Is Something On The Way To Becoming Something Else. 4 just turned up. 2 is a true story No rain no rain no rain no rain! No sense no sense no sense Nonsense! ”One […][...]

We don’t sound like the other Art of Noise, but we’re influenced by them.

Members of Art of Noise who aided on the musical side of Horn and Morley‘s swindling, mediating project have now decided that they are competent enough to pursue a conventional rock career, and that this is something they prefer – the settled patterns of a rock schedule, its unsubtle, manufactured sincerety. Accordingly they have jettisoned […][...]
