Ray Charles död
En av de riktigt stora soulmännen har gått bort i sitt hem i Beverly Hills. Ray Charles har senaste året hållit låg profil i sviterna av en höftledsoperation och hans hälsa senaste tiden var klen. Trots detta höll Charles på att arbeta med ett nytt album, med gäster som Elton John, Norah Jones och Johnny Mathis.
Ray Charles blev 73 år.

Förresten tycker inte jag att det är så sorgligt. Det är verken som räknas och de finns ju kvar. Hans anhöriga får sörja honom.

Inte för att vara elak, men så tragiskt är det inte att dö när man är 73. Får jag leva så länge är jag glad. Musiken finns som sagt kvar och jag tror han är nöjd med sitt livsverk.
